CJS Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Barbering Lecturer to join a further education setting on a long-term basis. The role focuses on delivering theory and practical barbering sessions, helping learners gain qualifications and develop confidence for progression into employment or further study.

The ideal candidate will have proven teaching experience, strong barbering expertise and a qualification in barbering.

Qualifications

• Proven teaching or training experience within an education or training environment.
• Strong professional experience within barbering.
• A relevant barbering qualification.
• Strong practical knowledge of current barbering techniques and industry standards.
• The ability to engage and communicate effectively with learners.
• A patient, supportive and professional approach.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A genuine interest in helping learners develop their skills and progress within the industry.
• A teaching qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging theory and practical barbering sessions.
• Support learners across barbering qualifications and levels.
• Plan and prepare lessons, practical activities and learning materials.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Demonstrate professional barbering techniques and industry standards.
• Support learners with their practical development and confidence.
• Maintain a positive, professional and inclusive learning environment.
• Keep accurate records of attendance, assessment and learner progress.
• Assist learners with progression into employment, apprenticeships or further study.
• Ensure practical activities are carried out safely and professionally.
