Job summary

Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking an enthusiastic lecturer or industry professional transitioning into teaching to inspire the next generation in automotive disciplines. The role emphasizes practical coaching, theory sessions, and developing lesson plans to enhance student employability.

The post focuses on vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and hybrid/electric systems, with delivery on Mondays and Wednesdays. A passion for learners and safeguarding is expected.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification and/or industry experience in automotive subject.
• Strong practical knowledge of automotive systems.
• Experience in vehicle maintenance, repair, diagnostics or related field.
• Teaching qualifications desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assess Automotive students.
• Deliver engaging practical and theoretical sessions.

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, automotive engineering, diagnostics, vehicle systems, electrics, hybrid and electric vehicles, or related areas.

Please note: This is a Variable Hours position, with work currently required on Mondays and Wednesdays, subject to curriculum delivery.

What We Offer

Salary:

Unqualified: £21.13 per hour plus holiday pay

Qualified: £25.34 per hour plus holiday pay

Contract Type: Variable Hours - currently required on Monday and Wednesday
