Job summary

Nescot in Guildford is seeking a proactive Lecturer in Animal Management to deliver engaging teaching across Levels 1 to 5. The role will include planning, delivering and assessing a range of subjects such as animal behaviour, welfare, husbandry, collections management and animal training.

You will monitor attendance, set SMART targets and support students through assessments.

Qualifications

• Qualified at Degree level or equivalent in Animal Management.
• Experience delivering and assessing on Further Education programmes.
• Experience delivering on City & Guilds Technical study programmes is desirable.

• Classroom and practical based teaching and may include Animal Care Unit sessions.
• Teach across courses including Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma, T Level Animal Management and Behaviour, Foundation Degree, Level 2 Technical Certificate and Land-based certificate.
• Course management on the T level programme including 1:1 with students and liaising with awarding bodies.

What we are looking for:

• A proactive and experienced Lecturer in Animal Studies to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Levels 1 to 5
• Qualified at Degree level or equivalent in the field of Animal Management Previous experience of delivering and assessing on Further Education programmes
• Previous experience working and/or delivering on City & Guilds Technical study programmes is desirable

• Classroom and practical based teaching and may include sessions on our Animal Care Unit
• Teach across a range of courses to include: Level Three Advanced Technical Extended Diploma, T Level Animal Management and Behaviour course, Foundation Degree in Animal Management and Welfare, Level 2 Technical Certificate and our Land-based certificate.
• Course management on the T level programme which will include, 1:1 responsibilities with students, planning assessment periods, liaising with awarding bodies and supporting students through assessment.
