Job summary

Nescot is seeking a proactive Lecturer in Animal Studies to deliver engaging teaching across Levels 1 to 5. The role involves planning, delivering and assessing a range of subjects within Animal Management, Welfare and related programmes.

You'll hold a degree in Animal Management or equivalent and have FE teaching/assessment experience. The post is based on campus with access to our Animal Care Unit and on-site facilities, and applications close soon.

Qualifications

Qualified at degree level or equivalent in Animal Management.
Experience delivering and assessing on Further Education programmes.
Experience with City & Guilds technical study programmes is desirable.

Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess subjects including animal behaviour, husbandry, welfare, collections management and animal training.
Monitor student attendance, setting SMART targets and tracking assignment completion.
Classroom and practical based teaching and may include sessions on our Animal Care Unit.
Teach across Level 3 to Level 5 courses including T Level and related qualifications.
Course management on the T level programme including 1:1 support and assessment planning.
