Kingston College is seeking a Lecturer for its Health & Social Care curriculum. The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is seeking a Lecturer to teach courses across various levels and serve as a personal tutor for Health & Social Care students.
This role is within the Health & Social Care curriculum area, covering a range of levels including Level 2 & 3 BTEC, T-Level, and Level 4 & 5 HNC/D. The successful candidate may also teach on Uniformed Services and Sport courses.
The Lecturer will be responsible for designing engaging coursework assignments using diverse assessment methods to motivate learners. They will follow schemes of work, assessment schedules, and student monitoring procedures to ensure students meet or exceed target grades. The role also involves internal verification activities and participation in external verification processes.
Candidates should hold a degree or relevant professional qualifications in Health & Social Care, possess a teaching qualification (or be willing to obtain one), and demonstrate excellent teaching skills in Health & Social Care programs. Industry experience, awareness of academic quality standards, and recent professional development are essential.
We seek individuals with energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for education. The ability to incorporate new technologies into teaching, a creative approach to problem-solving, and strong planning and organizational skills are important. The candidate should work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
The successful candidate will be eligible for salary increases based on the annual cost of living review in the upcoming academic year.
