Job summary

Wirral Metropolitan College is seeking a Lecturer in Health & Psychology for a fixed-term role. The position runs 35 hours per week with a salary of £31,410 to £43,440 per annum.

You will teach, tutor, and assess learners, develop materials, and support student progress throughout the course. The role also involves managing records, coordinating visits, and working with staff to ensure an excellent student experience.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a related subject area.
• Teaching qualification.
• GCSE grade C/4 or above English and Maths.
• Successful teaching experience of post 16 learners.
• Experience liaising with other staff to ensure quality standards are met.
• Experience with Internal Verification in preparation for external verification.

Responsibilities

• To carry out formal scheduled teaching, tutorials, and assessments. Prepare learning materials and support students during teaching and self-directed study.
• To act as a personal tutor to groups of students, setting targets and reviews.
• To manage and maintain programmes, college records, and quality systems to ensure high performance.
• Management and supervision of student visit programmes.
• Collaborate with staff across the department and college to ensure excellent student experience and engagement.
