Job summary

Wirral Metropolitan College seeks a Lecturer in Education and Early Years FXT to join our team on a 17.5 hour/week fixed term contract until July 2027. The salary ranges from £15,705 to £21,720 per annum.

You will teach on programmes levels 1–3, undertake a personal tutor and/or programme leader role, prepare schemes of work, assess learners and contribute to internal quality assurance, working as part of a supportive college team.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English/literacy qualifications
• Level 2 Maths/numeracy qualifications
• Recognised teaching qualification or working towards
• Experience of working with children
• Evidence of teaching, training or assessing groups of students

Responsibilities

• Carry out formal scheduled teaching on programmes ranging from level 1 to 3
• Undertake a personal tutor and/or programme leader role to groups of students
• Prepare schemes of work, session plans and learning materials
• Carry out student assessments and provide feedback
• Carry out internal quality assurance
• Work with the team to monitor and evaluate all aspects of the programmes

Education

Degree or equivalent qualification in early years/education/social sciences
