The School of Foundation, Intermediate Learning and Employability at Kingston College are looking to appoint a Lecturer to teach GCSE Maths and Maths Functional Skills. The GCSE teaching will primarily target students aged 16-19. For Maths Functional Skills, we allocate 2 hours of teaching weekly.
You will follow our schemes of work and assessment schedules, setting at least one piece of marked work each week, recorded on Pro-Monitor. Responsibilities include preparing students for June exams, marking homework and mock exams, monitoring student progress, and curriculum development where appropriate.
Applicants should hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject, possess a teaching qualification (or be willing to obtain one), and demonstrate excellent teaching skills in GCSE and Functional Skills Mathematics for students aged 16-19. We seek energetic, enthusiastic candidates passionate about education who can motivate and support learners, monitor progress, and utilize new technologies to enhance learning.
The ideal candidate will have high standards, good planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to deadlines.
