Job summary

Dovetail and Slate in West London seeks a Carpentry Lecturer to deliver Level 1 and Level 2 Carpentry & Joinery programmes. You will share practical industry knowledge, guide learners from diverse backgrounds and plan engaging lessons, assessments and activities.

The role emphasizes monitoring progress, maintaining records and supporting marketing and expansion of the Carpentry provision, with strong emphasis on safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent.
• Strong industry experience within Carpentry or Joinery.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage class groups.
• Strong organisational and administration skills.
• Passion for supporting and developing learners.
• Previous teaching experience is beneficial, but industry experience is the key requirement.
• Full support to work towards a recognised FE teaching qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging teaching across Level 1 and Level 2 Carpentry & Joinery programmes.

Salary: £35,112 - £47,148 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 37 hours per week
