Job summary

Cardiff University is seeking a GOC-registered optometrist to join our postgraduate education team on a part-time basis (40% time) up to two days per week. The role is fixed-term for 3 years and follows the Teaching and Scholarship pathway.

You will develop and deliver a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules, including Primary Eye Care, Acute Eye Care and Medical Retina, and you will engage with colleagues across the School to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

  • GOC registered optometrist with a passion for education.
  • Experience delivering undergraduate and postgraduate taught modules.
  • Specialisms may include Primary Eye Care, Acute Eye Care, and Medical Retina.

The post is offered at Grade 6 or Grade 7 on a part-time basis (40% time), up to 2 days per week. Opportunities may also be available to work in enhanced NHS clinical services within the School.

The post is fixed‑term for 3 years and is offered on the Teaching and Scholarship pathway.

£41,064 - £46,049 per annum, pro rata (Grade 6) or £51,753 - £56,535 per annum, pro rata (Grade 7)
