Job summary

About the role:

The School wishes to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Optometry and Ophthalmic Dispensing to support the delivery and continual development of the Vision Sciences educational provision, quality assurance, and assessment of credit and non-credit bearing courses in this area.

About you:

The successful candidate will have experience of teaching in Higher Education alongside a flexible approach to teaching. Registration with the General Optical Council as an Optometrist (minimum 2 year requirement) is essential as well as an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Optometry and a Formal teaching qualification or Fellowship (Descriptor 2) of AdvanceHE.

Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. This position is based in Preston.
