Job summary

Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists in Guildford, GU1 3DY, seeks an experienced Optometrist to join a supportive independent practice. The role offers a 45-minute exam per patient, a welcoming team, and ongoing professional development within a local, patient-centric environment.

The position is part-time (2 days/16 hours weekly) with a competitive salary up to £26k pro rata and included GOC/indemnity expenses. Training and mentoring are available for newly qualified optometrists.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced Optometrist registered with GOC.
• Ability to perform 45-minute eye examinations with patient-focused care.
• Willingness to mentor and support newly qualified colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Cover rota: 2 days / 16 hours per week (Wed & Sat; Wed & Fri on alternating weeks).
• Provide comprehensive eye examinations and tailor solutions to patients’ lifestyles.
• Contribute to a friendly team and support development of junior staff.

Are you an experienced Optometrist looking for a new opportunity in a thriving and supportive environment? We are looking for an experienced Optometrist to cover our rota 2 days / 16 hours per week (week 1: Wednesday & Saturday; week 2: Wednesday & Friday)

We provide all clients with a 45-minute eye exam which gives you as our fabulous Optometrist the time to really understand your clients’ needs and lifestyles and then recommend solutions that fit best to that lifestyle. • A qualified and experienced Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Somebody to provide a 45-minute eye exam which gives you time to really understand your clients’ needs and lifestyle and then recommend solutions that fit best to that lifestyle by following the GOC and College of Optometry guidelines.
• Someone passionate about delivering exceptional clinical care and building strong relationships with clients.
