Job summary

Buckinghamshire College Group is recruiting a Lecturer - Access to Higher Education to deliver the Sociology module of our Access to Higher Education programme. This is a variable hours role, approx.

6.15 hours per week, aimed at supporting learners preparing for higher education and professional careers. The College operates across several campuses in Aylesbury, Amersham and Wycombe, and offers development support to become a qualified teacher.

Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching adult learners.
  • Willingness to undertake teacher training and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Sociology component of the Access to Higher Education programme.
  • Plan and develop engaging, high-quality teaching for diverse adult learners.
  • Support learners to progress to Higher Education and professional careers.

Buckinghamshire College Group is seeking to recruit a Lecturer - Access to Higher Education to deliver the Sociology component of our Access to Higher Education (HE) Programme. This is a variable hours position, working approximately 6.15 hours per week. This is an exciting opportunity to work with motivated learners who are preparing to progress to higher education and careers in a range of professional sectors., Buckinghamshire College Group is a Further Education college with three campuses located in Aylesbury, Amersham and Wycombe. Taking Teaching Further The College actively engages with the Education & Training Foundation's Taking Teaching Further scheme to recruit industry professionals to teach within Further Education. As industry professionals offer our students industry experience and insight we support our unqualified teachers to learn 'on the job'. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. After completion you can choose to move be onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment.
