Oxfordshire County Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to lead a social care team of up to 10 staff. You will provide inclusive leadership, support wellbeing and development, manage performance and resources, and ensure children’s plans progress within statutory and Council timescales.

You will work with children, young people, families and partner agencies, promote restorative and relationship-based practice, develop, deliver and evaluate services, drive quality assurance and respond

Qualifikationen

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experience leading a social care team in statutory settings.
• Strong knowledge of childcare legislation and Working Together guidance.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and resources.

Aufgaben

• Allocate referrals via the duty system and progress them promptly.
• Ensure statutory duties to assess, support and safeguard children and families.
• Oversee care plans with supervision to support casework and timely decisions.
• Lead and develop staff, prioritising wellbeing, induction and supervision.
• Monitor performance and quality with audits; address underperformance.
• Inform service changes with legislative and policy updates.
• Build multi-agency partnerships for cost-conscious delivery.
• Promote anti-discriminatory practice; keep service user needs central.
• Gather feedback and respond to complaints within timescales.
• Manage resources and budget, up to £10,000, including PO/invoices.
