Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council in Oxfordshire is seeking an Assistant Manager within the Children's Assessment Service. The post holder will line manage Social Workers and Family Help Practitioners, overseeing Child & Family Assessments and Strategy Discussions/Section 47 investigations.

You will support newly qualified social workers through the ASYE programme, ensure safe and timely duty and assessment outcomes, and remain flexible to urgent priorities, including occasional out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising social workers and student social workers.
• Experience with Child & Family Assessments and Strategy Discussions/Section 47 investigations.

Responsibilities

• Line manage Social Workers and Family Help Practitioners.
• Lead duty and assessment function to ensure safe, timely outcomes.
• Support urgent priorities and flexible working, including some out-of-hours work.
