Oxfordshire County Council seeks an experienced Children’s Services Manager to lead a team of up to 10, ensuring prompt assessment, support and intervention for children and families within statutory timelines. You will drive service improvement, champion restorative practice and oversee budgets and governance across multiple office locations.

You will work with children, families and partners, promote anti-discriminatory practice and coordinate with safeguarding partners to deliver

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experience leading a social care team and managing performance, budgets and resources.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Family Help, Child Protection, Children in Need and looked-after children in a statutory setting.

Responsabilités

• Allocate referrals through the duty system and progress them timely.
• Ensure statutory duties to assess, safeguard and support children.
• Supervise and develop staff, manage wellbeing and health and safety.
• Monitor performance and quality through audits; address underperformance.
