Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking an Assistant Team Manager within the Children, Education & Families directorate to ensure timely, high-quality assessments and support for children, young people and families in need of help and protection.

You will support management, drive service development, and ensure adherence to the Family Safeguarding practice model, with a focus on safeguarding and improving life chances for looked-after children and care leavers.

Qualifications

• Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
• Ability to form positive working relationships with children, families and colleagues across agencies.
• Ability to engage children, young people and families who are resistant to intervention.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team manager to lead a team delivering high-quality services to vulnerable children and families.
• Support the Service Manager in continual development, delivery and review of services to maximise life chances and permanency plans.
• Ensure adherence to Oxfordshire's Family Safeguarding model with effective supervision and timely progression of plans.
