Shropshire Council is seeking a Social Work Team Manager for the Leaving Care team. Lead a dynamic group and support care leavers aged 18 to 25 across Shropshire, in an ongoing locum role with a competitive hourly rate of £41.42.

You will supervise a diverse team, ensure statutory pathway planning, and collaborate with partners to improve local services while overseeing the budget and entitlements for care leavers.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or equivalent in social work.
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Recent managerial experience in social care teams.
• Extensive frontline experience in Children's Services.

Aufgaben

• Manage the Leaving Care Team and supervise care leavers aged 18 to 25.
• Supervise a team of seven PAs, a care-experienced apprentice, and a housing officer.
• Ensure quality assurance of key documents and assessments.
• Provide performance oversight by attending weekly meetings.
• Collaborate with partners to review the local offer and corporate parenting.
• Oversee the team budget and care leaver entitlements.
• Oversee participation offer via the care leaver participation worker.
• Act as duty manager for CLA and UASC services.
