Job summary

Burnley College is seeking a Teaching & Learning Mentor to drive the implementation and impact of the college's Teaching & Learning Strategy, ensuring high quality learner experience across all provision types.

You will work with the Head of Teaching and Learning, coordinating quality assurance activities, monitoring outcomes and delivering targeted professional development on inclusive and adaptive teaching, curriculum planning and retrieval practice. The salary for this post is £40,665.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent level qualification in an area relevant to Curriculum.
• A Recognised teaching qualification.
• Relevant on-going professional learning and development.
• Good understanding of Ofsted Inspection Toolkit; academic knowledge of 14-19, apprenticeships, adult and university education curriculum advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive and lead the implementation and impact of the Teaching & Learning Strategy across the College.
• Coordinate and quality assure cross-college education activities (Learning Walks, Lesson Visits) and related training.
• Track, monitor and review quality of teaching and learning, reporting findings and themes.
• Provide targeted professional development on inclusive and adaptive teaching, curriculum planning and sequencing, recap and retrieval, and assessment and feedback.
