Job summary

Lakes College in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Head of Quality Improvement (Teaching, Learning and Assessment) to lead the TLA improvement strategy, develop a robust CPD programme, and drive excellence in teaching and learner outcomes.

Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, you will supervise a team of Quality Practitioners, use data and learner feedback to set priorities, and cultivate inclusive, high-quality teaching across the college.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of improving teaching, learning and assessment.
• Experience delivering and co-ordinating high-quality staff development and coaching.
• Strong understanding of curriculum design, delivery and evaluation.
• Experience observing and evaluating teaching practice.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Engagement with staff in building confidence and positive relationships
• A research-informed approach to quality improvement and educational practice.
• A recognised teaching qualification and degree-level education.

Responsibilities

• Lead the College's Teaching, Learning and Assessment improvement strategy.
• Develop and deliver an impactful programme of quality improvement and professional development.
• Design and coordinate a comprehensive annual CPD programme for teaching and support staff.
• Lead lesson observations, quality reviews and monitoring activities across all provision.
• Support colleagues through coaching, mentoring and targeted development interventions.
• Use quality intelligence, learner feedback and performance data to inform improvement priorities.
• Manage and develop a team of Quality Practitioners.
• Promote inclusive, outstanding teaching practices that support learner success and progression.
