Learning Support Worker
Education
Southwark College, part of NCG Group (a leading national provider of education and training) is looking to recruit a new Learning Support Worker. Based at Southwark College, close to Waterloo Station, the successful candidates will be part of a large team of Learning Support Workers. The post would be:
- FTE 0.57 post, working term time only for 3 days a week, on Tuesday to Thursday from 9.00 am - 5pm
The Main Duties Of The Post Holders Would Be
- In class support for learners with EHCPs, this would include note taking, prompting, assisting students with classroom tasks to access teaching, learning and assessment
- Creating / adapting / using a range of resources and strategies to meet learners' needs including e-resources, assistive technology and adapted equipment
- Supervising learners on arrival at college, during lunchtimes and breaks and ensuring they leave the premises with due care as required
- Supporting learners off-site in learning and travelling contexts e.g. trips, travel training, work placements
- Keeping records of learner needs, progress and the achievement of learning targets
