Job summary

Activate Learning Group is seeking a Learning Support Team Leader to guide the LSA Mentor andLearning Support Assistants, ensuring high standards of support and learner progression at our Oxford college.

The role is permanent, full-time (37 hours/week) on site in Oxford, with DBS checks and a strong emphasis on coaching, development, and operational leadership within the learning support team.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of SEND and ability to implement appropriate support strategies.
• Coordinate staff deployment and prioritise support efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform developmental observations and line manage Learning Support Assistants and LSA Mentor.
• Monitor recruitment needs and staff retention; oversee training and development opportunities.
• Provide operational support in collaboration with Group Learning Support Team Leads and Delivery Managers.
• Support Oxford campus with day-to-day delivery and staffing requirements.

As a Learning Support Team Leader, you will act as a lead to our LSA Mentor and Learning Support Assistants providing support with the day-to-day responsibilities.

You will be responsible for completing developmental observations, direct line management of Learning Support Assistants and LSA Mentor, monitoring recruitment needs and retention and training and developmental opportunities.

You will work closely with the Group Learning Support Team Leads and Delivery Managers to provide extra operational support.

This is a permanent, full-time contract working 37 hours per week based at our Oxford college.
