Job summary

Avonside Girls’ High School/TeKuraKohine Ōtākaro is seeking an experienced kaiako to work in our Learning Support Department. The kaiako will have experience in curriculum adaptation and with the SPEC programme, expanding SPEC use to support akonga needing an alternative pathway through NCEA.

Responsibilities

• Grow the use of SPEC in our school by working with a diverse group of akonga who need an alternative pathway through NCEA.
• Support students with life skills and teach a programme of study that enables progress and achievement.
• Work in our Learning Support Department to differentiate learning pathways for student success.
