Job summary

Burnside High School in Christchurch is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Teacher to join the Learning Support Department and work with students funded through the Ongoing Resources Scheme (ORS).

You will plan and deliver learning programmes, monitor progress and wellbeing, and collaborate with classroom teachers, whānau, and external agencies within the IEP process. A commitment to inclusive practice and Te Tiriti o Waitangi is valued. This is a full-time fixed-term role.

Qualifications

• Plan and deliver learning programmes for ORS students.
• Monitor progress and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, learning assistants, whānau and external agencies within the IEP process.
• May teach specialist timetabled classes such as literacy, numeracy or SPEC modules.
