Job summary

Carrington Infant School in High Wycombe is seeking a Learning Support assistant to join a nurturing team. The role is fixed-term and part-time term-time only, supporting pupils' learning and wellbeing with planned activities and interventions.

You will observe pupil progress, feed back to teachers, supervise during lessons and playtimes, and contribute to safeguarding training. GCSEs including English and Maths are required, with a Level 2 childcare qualification and school experience.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
• Childcare qualification equivalent to at least Level 2.
• Experience of working with children in a school or childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Support learning and wellbeing of pupils through adapted activities and interventions.
• Assist with planning and implementing learning activities and interventions.
• Supervise pupils during lessons, playtimes, lunchtimes, and educational visits.
• Contribute to safeguarding by reporting concerns and maintaining records.
