Job summary

All Saints C of E Primary School in West Bromwich is seeking a learning support practitioner to help educate and support pupils with complex needs, including SEND, ASC and ADHD. You will work as part of a dedicated team under the school SEND lead, delivering intensive support and reinforcing learning across the curriculum.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will:

• Have specialist knowledge and experience of supporting the learning and development of pupils with behaviours and needs which are frequently associated with a wide range of complex conditions, including ASC, ADHD, emotional dysregulation and Attachment Disorder.
• Have a depth of understanding, knowledge and experience of working with children with complex communication needs.
• Demonstrate an unwavering determination to create positive learning experiences for the most vulnerable children.
• Prioritise supporting care, communication and support of pupils needs through intensive interaction.
• Have a good understanding and practice of how to adapt the environment, teaching style, resources, use the Sandwell Learning Ladder or Hierarchy of Independence and use Widget resources
• Have a commitment to working as part of a team and sharing good practice.
• Have a positive outlook, energy and good communication skills.

Hours :

Term time only - 32.5 hours per week plus 5 training days

Grade :

Band D Scale Point 9-17 (£27,254 - £31,022 per annum) pro rata (Actual salary £21,361 - £24,943 p.a.)
