Job summary

Askham Bryan College is seeking a Learning Support Practitioner to join the Stewart Park campus in Middlesbrough on a part-time basis. You will provide extra learning support to students with high needs to help them access the college experience and progress academically.

The role requires experience with SEND, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and related needs. This permanent, pro‑rata post offers a pro rata salary and benefits, with a start date on arrangement and interviews to be confirmed.

Job Title: Learning Support Practitioner

Location: Middlesbrough

Contract Type: Part Time - 29.6 hours, Part Year, Permanent

Salary: £24,768 per annum, pro rata

About the role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Learning Support Practitioner for ourStewart Park campus.This will be to provide additional learningsupport and individual support for students who have high needs and SEND, to enable them to enjoy a fully inclusive college experience and to achieve and progress.

We would expect applicants to have an understanding and experience of some of the following Special Educational Needs – Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Social and Emotional Mental Health, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Dyspraxia and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties.

Interviews: TBC

Start Date:The College operates 2 starter/induction days per month to welcome and onboard new members. These are usually the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month (unless there is a bank holiday).
