Job summary

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Learning Facilitator on a permanent basis. The post is 33.67 hours per week, term time only – 39 weeks per year, with a salary of Grade 5 (£21,424.60 to £22,836.21) per annum plus SEN.

You will work with individuals and groups of pupils under teaching staff guidance, offering detailed and specialist skills in relevant areas and assisting in planning and class supervision when teachers are absent.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
• Level 3 Award / certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
• Very good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Training in specialist areas beneficial to the school.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in planning cycles and supervise classes during short-term absence.
• Work with individuals and groups of pupils in or out of the classroom.
• Provide specialist skills and knowledge in areas such as science, maths, SEND or behaviour.
• Support teaching staff in developing and educating pupils.

Skills

Very good numeracy and literacy skills

Demonstrable experience of working orC

Education
