Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Learning Support Mentor to join a Camden secondary school on a long-term, temp-to-perm basis starting in September. You will mentor pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping them re-engage with learning while addressing emotional and academic barriers.

You'll work closely with pastoral and SEN teams to monitor progress, build trusted relationships, and support students to feel confident and valued in school.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience mentoring or supporting young people, ideally in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education, youth work or similar, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider pastoral team.

Responsibilities

  • Mentoring pupils 1:1, helping them re-engage with learning and overcome barriers.
  • Delivering small group catch-up sessions to close learning gaps.
  • Working closely with pastoral and SEN teams to track pupil progress.

We're currently recruiting for a Learning Support Mentor to join a secondary school in Camden on a long-term basis starting in September. This role is temp-to-perm.

You'll be joining a supportive, forward-thinking school that puts inclusion and pupil progress at the centre of what it does. It's a great fit for someone who enjoys building relationships with young people and helping them get back on track academically and emotionally.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Mentoring pupils on a 1:1 basis, helping them re-engage with learning and overcome barriers

Requirements or Skills
