Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment invites applications for an Unqualified Teaching Assistant position at a school in the Birmingham area. You will support teachers, help prepare resources, and work with students to foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

The role involves assisting with English, Maths, Science and other subjects while developing learners’ academic and social skills. DBS checks and compliance are part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

  • Experience with various Special Needs is preferred across residential, education and care settings.
  • Experience in supporting students with core subjects and creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • DBS or equivalent safeguarding checks are part of the appointment process.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

  • Work with small groups or individual students, providing targeted support.
  • Help maintain a safe and organized learning environment.

Job description

Are you passionate about supporting the education and development of young learners? Do you have a keen interest in working within a school setting? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant at a school located in the Birmingham area. As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to provide support and assistance within the classroom. Your role will be crucial in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for the students, helping them thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Work with small groups or individual students, providing targeted support and guidance.
  • Help maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
  • Support students with their learning and understanding of core subjects, such as English, Mathematics, Science, and other curriculum areas.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their self-esteem and well-being.
  • Monitor and record students' progress and behaviour, reporting any concerns to the class teacher.
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff and other teaching assistants to contribute to the overall success of the school community.
