Job summary

Christopher Whitehead Language College in Worcester invites applications for two Learning Support Assistant TA2 posts. The roles are permanent, 27.5 hours per week, term-time only with TEDs, to assist teachers and support pupils including those with SEN.

Successful candidates will work 1:1 with students as needed, contribute to a calm classroom environment, and help pupils access a broad and balanced mainstream education. Experience in SEN settings is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a classroom with learners who have special needs is beneficial.
• Ability to support students with EHCPs and physical needs.

Responsibilities

• Support the classroom teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
• Assist 1:1 with students as required.
• Help students access a broad and balanced mainstream education.

Learning Support Assistant TA2 – Vacancies x 2

Required for As soon as possible.

Permanent, 27.5 hours per week (worked over 5 days, Monday to Friday). Term time only + 4 teacher education days (TEDs)

The main purpose of the role is to support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education of children, including those with special physical, emotional and educational needs, by utilising detailed knowledge and specialist skills.

This is a great opportunity to join our team of experienced and motivated LSAs. Experience and knowledge of working in a classroom environment with young people who have very special learning, emotional and behavioural needs (SEN) would be beneficial.You may be required to work 1:1 to support a student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and/or support a student who may have physical difficulties,ensuring they access a broad and balanced mainstream education.
