Job summary

Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to join us at our Joseph Wright Centre. You’ll provide support in and outside the classroom to students with inclusion and support needs, enabling them to achieve and progress across college sites.

Our 120+ learning support staff are supported to develop outstanding skills and knowledge; JWC offers a mix of academic, digital and creative courses, with LSAs supporting BTEC and A-Level students and helping 3000 students

Qualifications

  • You will need at least a Grade C/4 in both Level 2/GCSE Maths and English. You will be required to provide evidence of this.

Responsibilities

  • Support students to access all elements of the curriculum across college sites.

Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistants to join us at our amazing Joseph Wright Centre! If you're motivated, ready to learn new skills and be a role model we'd love to hear from you!

The Opportunity

You’ll be providing a range of support services both in and outside of the classroom to students who have a specific inclusion and support need which will enable them to achieve and progress. We offer a large range of support to students across our college on all college sites.

Our students are at the heart of our person-centred approach, and we support all our 120+ learning support staff to develop and embed outstanding skills and knowledge.

The Joseph Wright campus offers a mix of academic, digital and creative courses and our students echo this eclectic mix. JWC (Joesph Wright Centre) LSA’s will support students studying BTEC and A-Level subjects. You will build good working relationships, the ability to foster confidence and a 'can do' attitude; to support and challenge students to excel.

We also value practical problem solving and using your initiative in trying to make our students world a little better every day. You will be keen to work with students supporting them to access all elements of the curriculum.
