Job summary

Derby College Group (DCG) is recruiting for 3 Learning Support Assistants at The Roundhouse campus. You’ll provide a range of support services in and outside of the classroom to students with inclusion and support needs, helping them achieve and progress across many curriculum areas.

The Opportunity

You’ll be providing a range of support services both in and outside of the classroom to students who have a specific inclusion and support need which will enable them to achieve and progress. We offer a large range of support to students across our college on all college sites.

Our students are at the heart of our person-centred approach, and we support all our 120+ learning support staff to develop and embed outstanding skills and knowledge.

The Roundhouse

Roundhouse LSA’s can expect to support students in class, with a range of learning support needs. Students will be enrolled on courses from Pre-Entry Level to Level 3 study programmes, across a broad range of curriculum areas including hair and beauty, travel and tourism, business as well as engineering, building services/built environment and motor vehicle which will be taught in the newly built Institute of Technology and many more!

We value the ability to build good working relationships, the ability to foster confidence and a ‘can do’ attitudes and challenge the 3000 students we support to strive for excellence. We also value practical problem solving and using your initiative in trying to make our students world a little better every day. You will be keen to work with students supporting them to access all elements of the curriculum.

You will be required to provide evidence of this.
