Sidney Stringer Primary Academy is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to join our team and support an individual child. Under the guidance of the class teacher, you will undertake care and learning activities to support pupils, including those with special educational needs, and help manage the classroom and pupil behaviour in various teaching areas.

Working hours are 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only with five training days; interviews will be conducted on

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Experience working with children in some capacity.
• Positive interest in working with children.
• Knowledge of policies/codes of practice and awareness of legislation.
• Understanding of National Curriculum, the foundation stage and basic learning programmes.
• Ability to build good working relationships with colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Support an individual child with learning and care activities.
• Enable access to learning and assist the teacher in managing pupils.
