Job summary

Ormiston Chadwick Academy in Widnes is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support students in individual, small group or classroom settings under the guidance of our SENCO. You will help progress across the curriculum and contribute to care, guidance and support for our students.

This fixed-term role is 37 hours per week during term time plus 5 development days (39 weeks). A patient, adaptable approach and commitment to pupil potential are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with all levels of staff and students.
• GCSE English and Maths at a good standard is required.
• Good ICT skills and digital literacy are essential.
• Reliability, conscientiousness and commitment to supporting students across all learning needs.
• Enthusiastic, able to relate to young people and work well in a team.
• Calm, patient approach with a good sense of humour.

Responsibilities

• Support progress across the curriculum in individual, small group or classroom settings.
• Work under the guidance of the SENCO to aid student progress.
