Job summary

Ormiston Chadwick Academy in Widnes is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work under the guidance of our SENCO, supporting pupils across key stages in individual, small-group or classroom settings. You will have a genuine passion for helping every pupil reach their potential, with excellent communication skills, reliability and adaptability, and a friendly manner to support learning across activities.

The role is fixed-term for one year, 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 development days

Qualifications

• GCSE level in English and Maths.
• Good ICT skills.
• Reliable and conscientious.
• Enthusiastic and able to relate to young people.
• Team player with a sense of humour.

Responsibilities

• Support progress across the curriculum in individual, small group or classroom settings.
• Assist with care, guidance and support for students as directed by SENCO.
• Work under the guidance of the SENCO to implement learning activities.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
