Job summary

Everest Community Academy is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Basingstoke. This role is term-time, permanent, 37 weeks per year, working 30 hours per week from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.

You will support teaching provision, assist individual pupils and groups, and deliver targeted intervention programmes under the direction of a qualified teacher. A safeguarding mindset and GCSE English and Maths are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate safeguarding of children and commitment to their welfare.
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Support teaching provision as part of a team under the direction of the responsible Teacher.
• Facilitate the learning of individual pupils and groups, promoting positive attitudes to learning.
• Prepare, plan and deliver specific intervention programmes, adjusting activities as needed.
