Job summary

Buckingham Park Primary School and West Sussex County Council are seeking a Learning Support Assistant on a fixed-term basis for one academic year, starting September 2026. The role runs 08:30 a.m. to 03:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, term-time only, in Shoreham-by-Sea.

The ideal candidate will be patient, enthusiastic, and able to support teaching and learning, including 1:1 or small-group work with primary-school children and First Aid responsibilities. GCSEs in Maths and English are preferred.

Qualifications

• Is prepared to support children with special educational needs in small groups and/or in 1:1 situations.
