Job summary

Buckingham Park Primary School in Shoreham-by-Sea is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a fixed-term post of one academic year. The role runs 08:30 a.m. to 03:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, term time only, with responsibilities including supporting teaching, supervising lunch, and assisting pupils with SEN in small groups or 1:1.

Salary in London? No, in Sussex. Salary is £24,790–£25,183 pro rata per annum, with a commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Candidates should ideally have a Teaching/Support Assistant qualification.
• GCSE/’O’ Level in Mathematics and English is required.
• First Aid training is desirable but not essential as training may be given.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in the classroom.
• Attend to pupils’ personal needs including First Aid.
• Carry out lunchtime supervision when children play and eat.
• Support children with special educational needs in small groups and/or 1:1 situations.
