Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd in London is seeking an enthusiastic learning support assistant to help learners with additional needs access their education and engage with their studies.

You will work alongside teaching staff to deliver one-to-one and small-group support, encourage independence and confidence, and help implement individual learning plans in a positive, inclusive environment. Patience, sensitivity and excellent communication are essential to build rapport with learners.

Are you passionate about helping learners with additional needs build confidence, independence and real progress?

About the Role

You'll provide dedicated support to learners with additional needs at a training provider, working alongside teaching staff so that every learner can access their education and engage fully with their studies.

You'll build positive, trusting relationships with the learners you support, adapting your approach to suit individual needs and helping them develop the skills and confidence to work more independently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to learners with additional needs.
• Working alongside teaching staff to help learners access the curriculum and complete their work.
• Encouraging learner independence, confidence and engagement.
• Supporting the delivery of individual learning plans.
