Job summary

Knight Education in Hampshire (on the Hampshire/Surrey borders) is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to start September or October 2026. This full-time, permanent position supports pupils with a nurturing, collaborative approach within a creative curriculum.

Under supervision, you will help with education, personal and social development of pupils, including those with special needs, and work as part of a dedicated team to monitor targets and promote inclusive learning.

Responsibilities

• Under the teacher’s clear guidance, to support the education, personal and social development of pupils in the class including those with special needs and to establish a positive relationship with pupils.
• To undertake activities to assist in monitoring the personal, social and emotional needs of pupils.
• To develop positive relationships with pupils to assist pupil progress and attainment.
• To assist in the devising of pupils’ individual targets and their monitoring and review.
• Support pupils as part of a planned inclusion programme and to assist at playtime.
