Job summary

Nacro is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for our Education Centre in Stoke. The role focuses on assisting and supporting teaching staff across a range of academic and vocational areas within the classroom and around the centre.

You will help create a positive learning environment, support learners to achieve their goals, and work with the team to deliver tailored support. This permanent, term-time role offers progression and professional development opportunities within our wider education

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people in an education setting.
• Experience with LLDD/SEN is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS check is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching staff delivering a broad spectrum of academic and vocational subjects.
• Create a positive learning environment to help learners make progress from starting points.
• Provide feedback to staff on learner progress against targets and needs.
• Develop relationships and liaise with external agencies in multi-agency settings as required.
