Job summary

Richard Taunton Sixth Form College is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The role is 33 hours per week on a permanent contract, term-time only (37 weeks). Salary is on the Support Staff Scale Point 21, based on a £24,654 FTE.

You will work with students aged 16–25 in our specialist education provision, supporting learning, wellbeing and preparation for adulthood.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum Grade C (Level 4) passes in English and Maths, or equivalent qualification.
• Significant knowledge of Safeguarding and Prevent.
• Experience of supporting students with SEND and/or SEMH.

Responsibilities

• Support students with their education and emotional well-being.
• Contribute to preparation for adulthood and independence.
• Be part of a wider team delivering inclusive learning support in a college setting.
