Job summary

Sir George Monoux College in London is seeking an Additional Learning Support Assistant to help students with SEND achieve academic and personal development.

You will work within a supportive team alongside mentors and guidance staff, applying evidence-based strategies to foster independence and confidence. Term-time only, permanent, 36 hours per week.

Active involvement in busy periods with accurate record-keeping and contributions to exam cycles is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience and passion for supporting students with specific learning needs.
• Knowledge of SEND education and Educational Health Care Plans.
• Ability to support students in class and develop social communication.

Responsibilities

• Support SEND students to become independent learners.
• Collaborate with mentors, counsellors and staff.
• Maintain accurate records for term reviews.
• Contribute during entry periods and exam cycles as needed.
