Job summary

Abbot's Hall Community Primary School in Stowmarket is seeking a Learning Support Assistant on a fixed-term contract to support the pastoral needs, learning, progress and attainment of a small number of pupils with complex SEN needs. You will work closely with the SEN HLTA, Class Teachers, SENCo and other teaching assistants to support pupils with bespoke provision.

You must be able to work across all year groups from Reception to Year 6 and have experience providing interventions, supporting

Qualifications

• Must have GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or equivalent) or be willing to work towards.
• Experience working with and supporting pupils with SEN is highly desirable.
• Ability to work across all year groups Reception to Year 6.
• Experience delivering interventions and supporting children with learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pastoral needs, learning, progress and attainment of pupils with complex SEN.
• Work with SEN HLTA, Class Teachers, SENCo and other TAs to support small groups.
• Deliver interventions to individuals or small groups when time allows.
• Support children during part of lunchtime as needed.
• Be flexible to support across all year groups as required.
