The Stanway School in Colchester is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support SEN students and work with small groups under the guidance of teaching staff. The role runs 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, with a 30-minute unpaid break daily, and starts immediately.

You will foster a supportive environment, helping pupils reach their full potential through targeted activities in numeracy and literacy, with a focus on collaboration and high expectations.

Formación

• Experience of working in a school setting (primary or secondary)
• The ability to use your own initiative to resolve routine problems independently
• A commitment to getting the best outcomes for all pupils
• A passion for working with children and helping them succeed
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsabilidades

• Supporting SEN students with complex needs to learn as effectively as possible and to reach their full potential
• Working with individuals or small groups of children, in collaboration with teaching staff
• Proactively supporting students with activities designed to enhance numeracy and literacy
