Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is seeking Learning Support Assistants to support learners in colleges across the UK, including roles that involve SEN support. The roles require empathy and safeguarding awareness; no formal teaching qualifications are required, just enthusiasm.

Responsibilities include 1:1 and group support, assisting teachers to create inclusive learning environments, and safeguarding of vulnerable learners. Flexible full-time, part-time, term-time options available with DBS provision.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEN children or young adults.
• Experience in education OR an extensive care background.
• Knowledge of additional learning needs.
• Up to date Safeguarding training, or a willingness to obtain.
• Enhanced DBS or a willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 and group support of students with additional learning needs.
• Supporting teachers/lecturers to ensure an inclusive learning environment for SEN students.
• Safeguarding of vulnerable learners.
