Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to support learners across colleges in the UK. The role focuses on helping students with additional learning needs and supporting tutors to deliver inclusive teaching. DBS checks and safeguarding are important, with various hours including term-time options.

Experience with SEN or a care background is valued, with competitive hourly rates and a supportive team environment designed to inspire learners and help them progress in education.

Dovetail and Slate are an employment business working in partnership with over 200 colleges across the UK, is offering exciting Learning Support Assistant opportunities for individuals with experience supporting learners or from a care background. No formal teaching qualifications are required, just a genuine enthusiasm for supporting learners in their education journey.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 and group support of students with additional learning needs
• Supporting teachers/lecturers to ensure an inclusive learning environment for SEN students
• Safeguarding of vulnerable learners
• Full time and part time hours are available.
• Term time only roles are available also.

Requirements

• Experience working with SEN children or young adults
• Experience in educationOR an extensive care background
• Knowledge of additional learning needs
• Up to date Safeguarding training, or a willingness to obtain
• Enhanced DBS or a willingness to obtain.
