Job summary

Dovetail and Slate in the United Kingdom is offering Learning Support Assistant roles for individuals with experience supporting learners or from a care background. No formal teaching qualifications required, just a genuine enthusiasm for supporting learners in their education journey.

Responsibilities include 1:1 and group support for students with additional learning needs, assisting teachers to create an inclusive environment for SEN students, and safeguarding of vulnerable learners.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEN children or young adults.
• Experience in education or extensive care background.
• Knowledge of additional learning needs.
• Up to date safeguarding training, or a willingness to obtain.
• Enhanced DBS or a willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 and group support of students with additional learning needs.
• Supporting teachers/lecturers to ensure an inclusive learning environment for SEN students.
• Safeguarding of vulnerable learners.
• Full time and part time hours are available.
• Term time only roles are available also.
