The Graduate Network is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a secondary school in Willenhall. The role focuses on 1:1 and small-group interventions for students with special educational needs, aimed at improving understanding, engagement and confidence.

You will support KS3 and KS4 learners, adapting materials and reinforcing essential skills across English and Maths while working closely with teachers and the SENCO. Immediate start through July 2027.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Psychology or related field required or 2:2 or above.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Enhanced DBS clearance with children's barred list check.
• SEN awareness and understanding of adolescent development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with teenagers.
• Experience in education, tutoring or mentoring is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN to help them access learning.
• Deliver small-group interventions in English and Maths to close gaps.
• Adapt worksheets and resources for varied learning needs.
• Encourage positive learning behaviours and concentration in class.
• Support KS3/KS4 homework, revision and exam preparation.
• Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to monitor progress.
